2013 Maritime Days
5k River Run and 1 Mile Fun Run

Join us for a 1 mile fun run or (an even more fun) 5k race, winding through downtown Marine City just before the second day of our Maritime Days festival opens. If there's a freighter going by as you're running along the river, feel free to race it!

​Date: Saturday, August 3, 2013, start at 8:00 a.m.
Where: Along the river in downtown Marine City
Start/Finish at the lighthouse (the Corner of Washington & Water Streets)
Price: $25 for the 5k, $15 for the 1 Mile Fun Run
There will be fabulous prizes for top finishers of the 5k in each age category (for men and women). We'll also have a photographer or two on hand to capture your smile as you cross the finish line — woo-hoo! The race will be managed by Day One Run, with after-run refreshments sponsored by Food Depot and Mamma Chia. Hansons Running will be providing shoe tag chip timing (we love electronic timing!). Dr. Morgan from Deanda Chiropractic will be there, too, to help our runners pre- and post-race.
More details on the route will be provided closer to race day.

And speaking of SHOES, please bring us your gently used athletic shoes! We'll be collecting them on race day for Soles4 Souls, a marvelous non-profit that provides shoes to those in need. Hooray!

There will be refreshments at the end of the 5k race (a free banana and bottled water for each runner), along with some other delicious and nutritious treats. Our very generous sponsors are listed below... a big thank-you to all of them!
